It is part of the Samotovinsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of administrative-territorial division - in the Samotovinsky village council. Until 2001, it was the center of the Luzheng Village Council [2] .
The distance to the regional center of Veliky Ustyug by road is 40 km, to the center of the municipality of Novator in a straight line - 21 km. The nearest settlements are Vlasovo , Falaleevo , Bolshoy Kalikino .
According to the 2002 census, the population is 49 people (23 men, 26 women). The entire population is Russian [3] .
