It is part of the Samotovinsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of administrative-territorial division - in the Samotovinsky village council.

The distance by road to the regional center of Veliky Ustyug is 5 km, to the center of the municipality of Novator - 5 km.

According to the 2002 census, the population is 193 people (95 men, 98 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (98%) [2] .
