It is part of the Opoksky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of administrative-territorial division - in the Opoksky village council.

The distance by road to the district center of Veliky Ustyug is 65 km, to the center of the municipality of Poldarsa - 1 km. The nearest settlements are Poldarsa , Poldarsa , Sukhonsky .

According to the 2002 census, the population is 52 people (21 men, 31 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (98%) [2] .
