Included in the Krasavinsky rural settlement [1] , in terms of administrative and territorial division - in Krasavinsky Village Council.
The village is located on the right bank of the Northern Dvina , while almost all settlements of the Krasavinsky rural settlement are located on the right bank. The distance by road to the district center Velikiy Ustyug is 27 km.
According to the 2002 census, the population was 5 people [2] . In 2005, all residents of Medvedok and the neighboring village of Gorka moved to their new home in Vasilyevskoye and since then the villages have been empty [3] .
