It is part of the Verkhneshardenga rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division - the Verkhneshardenga village council.
The distance by road to the regional center of Veliky Ustyug is 70.5 km, to the center of the municipality of Verkhnyaya Shardeny - 24 km. The nearest settlements are Osnitsa , Orlov Pochinok , Moskvin Pochinok .
According to the census in 2002, there was no permanent population [2] .
