Biography
Born in 1911 in the village of Drenostitsa. He graduated from the school of Niksic and the Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade. In 1938 he was admitted to the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia. He worked first at the arms factory in Kragujevac , and then in Novo Mesto and Kosovsk-Mitrovica . In 1939, adopted in the Communist Party.
In the spring of 1941, Alexa, hiding from the German and Italian invaders, hid in his native village, where he began organizing the partisan movement. He participated in the Montenegrin uprising on July 13 and the battle for Plevlyu , during which he was wounded. During the war years, he served as commissioner in the following formations:
- Pleshivitsa Battalion of the Niksha Partisan Detachment (since March 1942)
- 2nd battalion of the 5th proletarian Montenegrin shock brigade (since June 1942)
- 15th Kordun Brigade (since January 1943)
- 8th Kordun Division (since December 1943)
During the years of the war he was wounded several times, especially seriously wounded in April 1944. On June 2, 1944, Alex, along with another 35 wounded and two doctors, was shot by the Chetniks in a partisan hospital in the village of Krchani. December 20, 1951 posthumously awarded the Order and the title of People's Hero.
