Musical career
After graduating from Fox Chapel Area High School and attending Berkeley College of Music in the early 1980s, Beach began playing with the pop singer Fiona's supporting band and became a professional studio musician.
While working with Fiona, he met Kip Winger. Beach and Winger recorded a joint demo, but Winger joined Alice Cooper as a bass player. In March 1987, Winger left Cooper's group to create his own. He again contacts Beech and they record several songs. They are joined by drummer Rod Morgenshane and keyboardist Paul Taylor and they decide to name the band Sahara, but in the end, on the advice of Alice Cooper, they change their name to Winger.
Winger releases three albums: Winger (1988), In the Heart of the Young (1990) and Pull (1993), as well as a number of hit singles, including "Seventeen", "Madalaine", "Headed for a Heartbreak" and "Miles Away. "
In 1994, Winger disbands and Beach joins first with Alice Cooper and then replaces George Lynch in the Dokken band. With Dokken, he records one studio album, Erase the Slate , as well as a live DVD from Live from the Sun.
He was also invited by Sega to record the soundtrack for the Daytona USA 2 video game.
After leaving Dokken, Beach is involved in recording and touring various projects. During the short reunion of Winger 2001-2003, during which the group did not record new material, but only gave concerts, he released his solo album Masquerade in 2002 .
At the end of 2002, it became part of the Whitesnake , which David Coverdale revived.
In 2005, Reb Beach, along with King's X frontman Dag Pinnick and Night Ranger drummer Kelly Kigi, created The Mob supergroup , which released the only self-titled album produced by Kip Winger the same year.
In 2006, Winger reunited again and in the same year released his first album in 13 years, entitled IV .
In 2007, Beach replaced Jeff Watson at Night Ranger for a series of concerts in Japan and the USA, but in January 2008 announced his departure.
At the moment, he combines work in Winger and Whitesnake, recording in 2009 with the first album Karma , and in 2010 the album Forevermore with the second. Also, he continues to tour with both groups.
In the early 1990s, Ibanez produced the Reb Beach Personalized Guitar RBM models ( Reb Beach Model ). During the 2005 Whitesnake tour, he mainly used a guitar specially made for him by Suhr Guitars.
