Rollersurf is a skateboard that can rotate well due to the special suspension of the wheels. It is not necessary to push off with a leg when moving. The maintenance of speed is due to the laws of physics and repulsion from its mass. The skiing tool consists of two platforms that are connected by a torsion spring. For the manufacture of decks, plastic or wood can be used. Most often, two wheels are installed that are compatible with roller skates. The standard size is 76 mm, but there may be models with other wheels. They are fixed in the suspension independently and can be rotated. This pendant is called "caster"; that is why in English skaters are most often called Caster board.
The name in Russian consists of two words (scooter and surfing), which corresponds to the way of movement. But there are other options: waveboard, Caster board, rollersurfer, howboard. Names may depend on the names of firms that make such boards. These are actually models.
There are separate skateboarders. (For example, xlider, RipSkate.) Their platforms are not connected, and the legs can act completely independently.
Rollersurf rides slowly, but turns well. Due to this, riding is safer for passers-by and the rider himself. Roller surfing develops endurance, leg strength, balance and coordination of movements. Do not forget about protection. Before riding, it is better to wear a protection kit for the rollers (knee pads, elbow pieces, wrists, and possibly a helmet).
Rollersurfer is one of the brands and names of a two-wheeled skateboard. Along with this brand, Ripstik and Waveboard are no less famous.
All three names are registered trademarks. They have no fundamental design differences. The “main” node allowing the device to drive and gain speed is “castor”. Castor is a metal fastening of the wheel to the board itself through an additional hinge and with an obligatory tilt of the axis, about 45 degrees. Thanks to the geometry of the castor, movement and maneuvering is possible.
