Geography
The settlement is located north of the regional center of Konosha , on the section of the Northern Konosha- Nyandoma railway, on the Konosha River ( Voloshka tributary). To the south of the village is the village of Ovrazhnoe , to the north - the village of Fominsky .

The population of the village, according to the All-Russian population census of 2010 , was 418 people [4] . In 2009, there were 789 people. It is the largest settlement of the Vokhtomsky rural settlement.
