Pakistan Studies

Pakistan studies ( Urdu مطالعہ پاکستان - Mutala-i-Pakistan, English Pakistan studies ) is a comprehensive humanities science composed of Oriental studies that studies history, culture, languages, literature, ideological views of ethnic groups living in Pakistan . Pakistani science is at the crossroads of Indology, Iranian studies, Afghan studies and Islamic studies. For political reasons, Pakistan’s research divides researchers into schools on some issues.

In the West, separate research centers have been set up dealing with Pakistan. Among them are the American Institute of Pakistani Studies at the University of Wisconsin and the British Association for Pakistani Studies. In domestic oriental studies in Pakistan, individual Indologists specialize. In Pakistan, a special center is the Institute for the Study of Pakistan at the University of Islamabad .
