Content
Story
The first post-war years, a girl with a rare name Fruza works as a watchman in the Construction Department of Minsk. She, who arrived in the city from a war-ravaged village, having lost all her close relatives, leads a very modest lonely life. She wants family, children, but ... there are no prospects for marriage in a society bleed of war. She is entertained by an employee of the organization, each time passing by her with the words: “Fruza is an embroidered blouse. Here we’ll hand over the quarterly report, we will find the groom for you ”
The creaking front door causes Fruza's displeasure and leads to her acquaintance with the driver Parkhomov, who solves the door problem with an oil can. In turn, Fruza comes to the aid of Parkhomov when a car breaks down near his house. This meeting continues with Parkhomov’s visit to Fruze on a spring holiday and their rapprochement, despite his undisguised marital status and five-year-old daughter. Soon Fruza Semashko tells his friend about his pregnancy.
