Dobromir , known to the Byzantines as Chrys ( Bulgarian. Dobromir Chrys , Greek Δοβρομηρός Χρυσός ) is a Bulgarian boyar , a semi-independent ruler in Eastern Macedonia , supported by detachments of Bulgarians and Vlachs. Having captured Strumica , Dobromir subjugated a number of neighboring lands in a few years. Being involved in the Bulgarian-Byzantine wars , he fought on the side of Kaloyan and on the side of Emperor Alexei III Angel . The first mention is dated 1197 , the last - 1202 , when Kaloyan seized his lands.

Dynastic ties
He was already married when he arranged a second marriage with the daughter of the commander Manuel Kamitsa, conquered by the Byzantine emperor. Around 1200, Dobromir married for the third time to the granddaughter of the emperor Theodore Angelina , previously the wife of another Bulgarian feudal lord Ivanko .
