It was named in 1951 in the nearby village of Vodniki. The former name is 19 km.

The platform has a complex S-shaped structure, which is why the assistant to the driver before leaving the train have to go to a special platform in order to track the closing of the doors in the rear of the train. Due to this platform structure, the number of accidents occurring with passengers crossing the way has been slightly increased. The western (Moscow) platform has in the middle a flight of stairs, historically remaining from the time of the short platform. There is a ticket office and pavilion built in the Stalinist style on the platform.

Until 2017, there was a transport problem. Through the crossing, located north of the platform, Moskovskaya Street passes, connecting Likhachevskoye and Dmitrovskoye Shosse . The crossing is equipped with barriers and automatic barriers. Due to the high frequency of movement of electric trains, the barrier did not have time to open during the time between the passage of trains. Because of this, there were big traffic jams on Moskovskaya Street during rush hours. In 2015, the construction of a flyover over the platform was started. ^[2] In September 2017, the construction of the flyover was completed ^[3] , and the relocation was decommissioned.

It consists of two side platforms connected by a deck. For passenger and freight traffic, 2 electrified (direct current, 3000 volts) tracks are used.

The minimum travel time from Savyolovsky station is 29 minutes. The ticket office is located on the western platform, from which trains depart towards Moscow.

In the vicinity of the platform are the Vodniki microdistrict , the village of Kotovo and the village of Shchapovo (included in the city limits of Dolgoprudny ), the Spartak yacht club, and the Moscow yacht port. Prior to the enlargement of the military commissariats, the city military registration and enlistment office of Dolgoprudny was not far away.
