The name of the platform comes from the Long (i.e. long) pond, located one kilometer east of it. From the platform in 1938 received the name of the village (since 1957 - the city of Dolgoprudny).
It consisted of two side platforms connected by a floor. The so-called “snake” with a traffic light was installed at the southern crossing through the tracks to ensure traffic safety; at the end of 2015, the crossing was also converted to the north of the platform. Both platforms have standard canopies. The cash desk is located only on the platform "to Moscow", it works around the clock.
From the west of the platform there is an non-electrified access road to the IWC , which runs next to Novodachnaya from Mark station and is used only for freight traffic.
At Dolgoprudnaya, all non-short-distance electric trains stop following Savyolovsky railway station in Moscow , in the direction of Dubna , Savyolovo , and also to the Belorussian direction . From July 5, 2010, the Moscow-Lobnya express train stops due to an increase in passenger traffic during peak hours (in the fall of 2011 it was renamed the REKS train (region-express)). Since 2015, the Moscow-Dmitrov express train also stops on the platform.
Near the platform there is a transfer hub for buses and minibuses, passing both within Dolgoprudny and connecting Dolgoprudny with Moscow , Lobnya , Khimki and Mytishchi .
Driving time from Savyolovsky station is 26 minutes. On the express train "Moscow - Lobnya" - 18 minutes.
From spring to autumn 2013, both platforms were repaired.

Platform Development for WDC-1
From April 2019 to the end of 2019 - the beginning of 2020, in connection with the organization of WDC-1 , this stopping point is being developed, during which two new island-type platforms will be built, and the number of tracks will be increased to 4. Existing tracks, engineering networks and communications will be reconstructed . For a safe exit to the platforms and crossing the railway, an elevated lobby with a turnstile and cash hall (concourse) will be built.
From June 26, 2019, commuter trains stop at temporary wooden platforms [3] .
