Initial Biography
Born on January 18, 1898 in the village of Davydovka, Davydovskaya volost of the Kurgan district of the Tobolsk province (now the Toboln district of the Kurgan region ) in a peasant family.
He graduated from the parish school. Since 1915, he lived in Kurgan , worked as a mechanic at the turbine factory of S. A. Balakshin .
Military Service
World War I and Civil War
In 1916, Krivolapov was drafted into the ranks of the Russian Imperial Army . He graduated from the school of non-commissioned officers . After the October Revolution, he returned to Kurgan, where he worked as an assistant engineer in a depot.
In 1919 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army . He took part in military operations against troops under the command of Kolchak in the Yenisei province , and then in military operations on the Eastern and Southern fronts of the Civil War . He commanded a platoon, company, battalion. During the crossing of Sivash, Krivolapov was wounded.
Interwar
In 1921 he graduated from the Military Infantry School. In 1922 he graduated from command courses in Kharkov , after which he served in command posts.
In August 1939 he was appointed commander of the 427th Infantry Regiment . He took part in the Soviet-Finnish war .
World War II
Since June 1941, he took part in battles on the fronts of World War II .
In 1941 he was awarded the Order of the Red Star for the able leadership of the regiments and his personal courage, and was soon appointed commander of the 61st Marine Rifle Brigade , and in October 1942 - the commander of the 263rd Rifle Division .
Since 1943, a member of the CPSU (b) .
In September 1943, Major General Grigory Arkhipovich Krivolapov was appointed to the post of commander of the 25th Guards Rifle Division , which, having defeated the enemy group in the Sinelnikovo region ( Dnepropetrovsk region ), went to the Dnieper on September 23, 1943. On the night of September 26, 1943, the division forced a river near the village of Voiskovoye ( Solonyansky district , Dnepropetrovsk region). During these battles, the 25th Guards Rifle Division was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 19, 1944, for the successful actions of the division during the crossing of the Dnieper, the capture and retention of the bridgehead on the right bank of the river, for the personal heroism and courage shown in these battles, the guard was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet General Krivolapov Krivolapov Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 2514).
During the Great Patriotic War he was twice wounded.
From July 8 to September 3, 1945, Major General Krivolapov commanded the 110th Guards Rifle Division . He took part in the Soviet-Japanese war . The division under his command took part in the Khingan-Mukden offensive operation , during which it marched through the deserts of Mongolia , the Greater Khingan Range and the Liaohe River.
In September 1945, the division for military merits was awarded the honorary name “Khinganskaya”, and Major General Grigory Arkhipovich Krivolapov was awarded the Order of Kutuzov of the 2nd degree for the able command of the division.
Post-War Career
In 1945 he graduated from advanced training courses for officers at the Military Academy of the General Staff , after which he commanded a brigade and division.
In 1946, went into stock.
From 1947 to 1974 he lived in the city of Dzhambul (now Taraz) of the Kazakh SSR on Artillery Street.
He lived in Kurgan , where he died on February 2, 1982 . He was buried in Kurgan , on the central avenue of the new Ryabkovo cemetery.
