Claudio Miranda ( Spanish: Claudio Miranda ; born in 1965 , Santiago , Chile ) is an American cameraman of Chilean origin. He is best known for being the winner of the Oscar for Ang Lee ’s Life of Pi [1] film and the cameraman for David Fincher ’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button , the first film entirely digitally nominated for Best Cinematography work

Career
The first work of Miranda was the David Fincher film " Seven " of 1995, in the filming of which he participated as a master of lighting. He played the same role in the films “ The Game ” and “ Fight Club ” before becoming an additional operator in the film “ Zodiac ”. Like last time, he brought Fincher to work on the FilmStream Camera, filming The Mysterious History of Benjamin Button .
In 2012, as an operator, he took part in the shooting of the fantastic action movie “ Oblivion ” directed by Joseph Kosinski . The work on this film is remarkable in that it is all shot in digital format with a 4K resolution on the Sony F65 digital movie camera [2] .
He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers [3] since 2009.
