Biography
Belarus . Since 1936 in the Red Army . Since 1941 in the Black Sea Fleet . Member of the defense of Sevastopol , the liberation of Mariupol , Novorossiysk , Berdyansk . For the excellent performance of combat missions during the liberation of Mariupol in September 1943 he was awarded the medal "For Military Merit . "
The foreman of the 2nd article Makeyonok on the night of March 26, 1944, among the landing squad under the command of senior lieutenant K.F. Olshansky, was landed behind enemy lines at the port of Nikolaev . Two days before the approach of our troops, the detachment fought, repelled 18 enemy attacks. I.A. Makeyonok died in this battle on March 28, 1944.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded posthumously on April 20, 1945.
He was buried in a mass grave in Nikolaev. His name is one of the streets of Nikolaev.
