Biography

Born in Vitebsk. He graduated in 1938 from the Vitebsk flying club . In the Red Army since 1940. In 1941 he graduated from the Chkalov school of pilots.

During the Great Patriotic War from 1942 on the Caucasian, North Caucasian, 2nd Baltic fronts. The commander of the attack squadron of the 502nd assault regiment, Captain D.I. Lugovskoy, made 130 sorties, destroyed 10 tanks , 26 artillery pieces and armored vehicles, 80 vehicles with troops and cargo, and much more, inflicting significant damage to enemy communications.

In 1948 he graduated from the Higher Officer Flight Tactical Courses. Until 1959, in the Soviet Army, colonel. He lived in Minsk .
