Jewish Cemetery ( Polish: Cmentarz żydowski ) - a Jewish cemetery located in the town of Zabno , Tarnów County , Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland .
Content
History
The Jewish cemetery in the city of Zhabno was founded in 1692 and currently covers an area of 1 hectare. To date, the cemetery has preserved about 100 tombstones with inscriptions in Hebrew . There is also a common grave in the cemetery, in which 100 Jews who were shot by the Germans in March 1942 are buried.
In the early 90s of the XX century, a ogel was built in the cemetery, in which the remains of local tzadiks were reburied.
On November 2, 1990, the cemetery was included in the register of cultural monuments of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
