Garcia, Christina

Cristina García ( born Cristina García ; born July 4, 1958 ) is an American journalist and novelist of Cuban descent. After working as a reporter, Time , as a manager in a magazine department in Miami , became a novelist. Her first novel, “In the Dreams of Cubans” (1992), received a National Book Award nomination. Since then, C. Garcia has published several of her novels, including The Aguero Sisters (1997) and The Monkey Hunt (2003), and several books on the history of Latin American and Cuban prose, and acted as their editor in the United States.
