History
Presumably, the village of Berezovka arose around 1730. Peasants of Ukrainian origin settled along the banks of the Tolucheevka River. Here and there, birch copses grew green on the banks of the river, from which the village got its name. The first settlers of the Beryozovy farm were Cossack helpers from among the Kalacheevsky inhabitants: Sidor Bursuk; Novokhata Vasily; Vinnik Yefim; Plyashchenko Yakim; Gander Ivan; Highland Denis; Ilya Demchenko; Tarasenko Korney; Gaponenko Kirill; Tyutyunnik Ivan; Udovichenko Gregory; Tkachenko Semyon; Krivenko Ivan; Oleinik Stefan; Levchenko Pavel; Reznichenko Moses; Ludany Ivan; Simonenko Ivan; Manuilenko Alexey; Khalansky Joseph.
In 1744, a wooden Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit was built in the village.
In 1759, Ivan Stefanovich Lisanevich as a participant in military campaigns and many battles was granted, by decree of the empress, land for eternal use.
