Vladimir Spiridonovich Anastasov ( September 18 (30), 1877 - February 26 ( March 10 ), 1904 ) - Russian naval officer. The son of a Don nobleman, appointed in 1884 by the bailiff of Fatezh district of the Kursk province. Grandson of the priest. In 1889-1890 he studied at the Kursk classical gymnasium [1] .

In 1901 he graduated from the mechanical department of the Marine Engineering School of Emperor Nicholas I , and on May 6 of the same year he was assigned to the Siberian Navy crew as an officer of the squadron battleship Petropavlovsk as a ship mechanical engineer [2] . At the beginning of 1904, the junior mechanical engineer V. A. Anastasov was transferred to the destroyer "The Guardian ", on which he died in battle on February 26 ( March 10 ), 1904 [2] . For exceptional heroism, by decree of Emperor Nicholas II of March 28, 1905, it was ordered to immortalize the heroβs memory that the destroyer built be called the Mechanical Engineer Anastasov [2] .
