Greek street ( Ukrainian Gretska Vulitsa ) is one of the first streets of Mariupol , located in the historical center of the city, mainly one-story buildings. It bears its historical name (from September 28, 1878 ), part of the street south of Prospekt Mira until the establishment of Soviet power was called Mary-Magdalinovskaya Street . On May 24, 1929, the Mariupol City Council approved a decision to rename the street to Karl Marx Street (until December 1991 ).
