The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Erdenet (Mongolia) is an institution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Mongolia , performing consular functions in the city of Erdenet and parts of the northern region of the country ( aimaki Bulgan , Arkhangai , Orkhon and Huvsgel ) [1] [2] .

Consulate History
The city of Erdenet was founded in the early 1970s and was built with the wide participation of Soviet specialists. The USSR Consulate in Erdenet was opened in 1976, and in 1981 it was transformed into the Consulate General [4] [5] .
The Consulate General was located at the 5th microdistrict (PO 8330), the city of Erdenet , aimak Orkhon , Mongolia. By order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1657-r dated August 2, 2017, the consulate general in Erdenet was closed [3] ..
