Story
The Second World War recently ended. Major Jan Reiner and his wife arrive in a small mining town in Silesia . Major is a Silesian born in this city. He has a family house here, relatives and acquaintances with whom he speaks German. Wife does not really like this, because she lost everything during the war: family, home. Lieutenant Valchuk also does not like this, in whom the Germans killed the whole family. Valchuk is watching the major, because he believes that Reiner is a German and accompanies his own. Indeed, there is reason for such suspicions: the major hid that his brother Willy Reiner, a former SS man, Silesian , who impersonated a German, was in the prison camp.
