The world premiere of the film took place on March 8, 2013 in Madrid and in Calzada de Calatrava , in the director’s small homeland. The tape received nominations for the European Film Academy Award for Best Comedy and Best Film according to the audience, as well as the Goya Award for Best Costumes.

Story
Peninsula Airbus A340 [4] flies from Madrid to Mexico City . During the flight, a serious technical failure is detected.
As passengers realize that they are doomed, they begin to take off their masks, reveal their own secrets and vices, and present themselves to the audience as they really are. On board the aircraft are: three gay stewards Fajas ( Carlos Areses ), Hoserra ( Javier Camara ), Uloa ( Raul Arevalo ); head pilot Alex Acero ( Antonio de la Torre ), happy family man and bisexual , steward lover Hoserra; co-pilot Benito Moron ( Hugo Silva ); clairvoyant Bruna ( Lola Duenyas ), who is still a virgin, because men are afraid of her; Senor Mas ( José Luis Torrijo ), a corrupt entrepreneur who escapes from Spain; Infante ( Jose Maria Jaspik ), a man about whom they know almost nothing, except that he reads the book "2666"; Norma Boss ( Cecilia Roth ), a pornodiv in the past, possessing compromising evidence on 600 main persons of Spain; Ricardo Galan ( Guillermo Toledo ), loser actor; newlyweds embarking on a honeymoon ( Miguel Angel Sylvestre and Laia Marti ). Also in the film there are secondary characters: Ruth ( Blanca Suarez ); Alba ( Pas Vega ); Leon ( Antonio Banderas ), a technician who caused a breakdown in an airplane; Jessica ( Penelope Cruz ), his wife; as well as the concierge in the porch where Alba lives.
In general, the plot of the film is a satire on the economic crisis in the EU and, in particular, in Spain.
