Biography

Parents - Shmil Leibovich Myshkis (d. 1932) and Bruha Yoyle-Gershevna Myshkis (d. 1939). He studied at the header and yeshiva in Orhei (together with the future children's writer and translator I.U. Spivak ). [1] Then Chisinau lived [2] , and after the revolution, in Kharkov . [3] In 1921 - Deputy Governor of the Central Statistical Office of Ukraine.

He headed the Department of Economic Statistics of the Institute of National Economy (GOSPLAN) of Ukraine. [4] He was a member of the All-Ukrainian Statistical Planning Commission at the Central Statistical Office of the Ukrainian SSR (1925). [5] Worked in the journal "Economy of Ukraine". [6]

  • Brothers - Israel Samuilovich Myshkis (Srul Shmilevich, 1884-1933); Meer Samuilovich Myshkis, physiologist (PhD) [7] , repressed (his son Jim Meerovich Myshkis (? —1942, died at the front) - one of the organizers of the first mathematical olympiads in the USSR) [8] .
  • Sister - Chaya Samuilovna Myshkis (1892-1965); her son is a mathematician Anatoly Dmitrievich Myshkis . [9] [10] [11]
  • Wife - Emilia Borisovna Myshkis (1886-1958), geography teacher.
    • Son - Abram Benjaminovich (Veniaminovich) Myshkis (1911, Orhei [12] - 1999, Israel), poet, candidate of economic sciences (1964) [13] , author of the monographs “Technical rationing in the vulcanization of molded rubber products” (Moscow: Goskhimizdat, 1955), “Organization of normative research work on labor” (Moscow: Goskhimizdat, 1958), “Technical regulation of labor in the rubber industry” (Moscow: Profizdat, 1960).     • Daughter - Anna Veniaminovna Myshkis, winner of the first Moscow Mathematics Olympiad for schoolchildren (1935), died at the front in 1943 . [15] [16]
