Biography
Vladimir Kamyshev was born on April 15, 1925 on the Nizhnezubrilovsky farm (now Novonikolaevsky district of the Volgograd region ). He received an incomplete secondary education, after which he worked as a tractor driver. In 1943, Kamyshev was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since August of that year - on the fronts of World War II, he was a shooter of the 1323rd Infantry Regiment of the 415th Infantry Division of the 61st Army of the Central Front . He distinguished himself during the battle of the Dnieper [1] .
On September 27, 1943, as part of the advance detachment, Kamyshev crossed the Dnieper in the area of the Zmey farm of the Repkinsky district of the Chernihiv region of the Ukrainian SSR and took an active part in the capture and retention of the bridgehead on its western shore. In battle, Kamyshev replaced the wounded squad leader. Under his command, the soldiers of the squad destroyed about 120 German soldiers and officers [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1944, for the “exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown at the same time”, Red Army soldier Vladimir Kamyshev was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal " Under the number 2943 [1] .
Junior Lieutenant Vladimir Kamyshev went missing on March 1, 1945 in the battles on the Oder [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree [1] .
