Player Career
He played as an attacking defender . He studied at Pepperdine University , in 1992 he was selected for the NBA draft under the 17th number by the Seattle Supersonics team, however, due to contract difficulties, Christy did not play in Seattle and was resold to the Los Angeles Lakers . He later played for the New York Knicks , Toronto Raptors , Sacramento Kings , Orlando Magic , Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers . In total, the NBA spent 15 seasons. Once included in the 1st team of all NBA defense stars ( 2003 ) and three times - in the 2nd team of all NBA defense stars ( 2001 - 2002 , 2004 ). For two consecutive years he was recognized as the basketball player of the year among students at the West Coast Conference (1991-1992). In total, during his career in the NBA he played 827 games in which he scored 9301 points (an average of 11.2 per game), made 3382 rebounds , 2992 assists , 1555 interceptions and 392 block shots .
