Geographical position
The settlement is located in the northern part of the district, between Lake Vuoksa and Lake Ladoga .
Through the settlement are:
- A121 Sortavala Highway ( St. Petersburg - Sortavala - P-21 Cola Highway )
- Railway St. Petersburg - Hiitola ( Priozersk station)
Distance to St. Petersburg - 145 km [1]
History
Priozersky city settlement was established on January 1, 2006 in accordance with the regional law No. 50-oz dated September 1, 2004 “On the establishment of borders and the appropriate status of the municipal entity of the Priozersky municipal district and its municipalities” [2] . It included the territory of the city of Priozersk and part of the former Larionov volost .
