The city is located in the west of Bihar, on the left bank of the Ganges River , near the confluence of the Ghaghra River , near the administrative border with the state of Uttar Pradesh . The absolute height is 47 meters above sea ​​level [1] . Chhapra is located approximately 32 kilometers west-north-west (WNW) from Patna , the state's administrative center and 795 kilometers east-southeast (ESE) from New Delhi , the country's capital.
