Biography
Born December 21, 1872 in the city of Velsk (now the Arkhangelsk region ).
Baptized on January 2, 1875 . He had a secondary education (apparently, he graduated from the Vologda Theological Seminary [1] ).
In Kharkov, he served in various churches of the city, did not have his own parish.
On October 27, 1937, he was arrested and sentenced to five years imprisonment in a forced labor camp. Shot in 1937 [2] .
Rehabilitated March 24, 1989.

- Mother - Lidia Vasilievna Shipulina.
- Brothers - Boris (Shipulin) , Archbishop of Tashkent; Vasily Shipulin (1879-193?), A priest in Veliky Ustyug [3] .
Canonization
On June 22, 1993, the Decree of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church [4] adopted a decision on the local canonization of the ascetic in the Kharkov diocese , in the Cathedral of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Sloboda Territory (Memorial Day - May 19 ( June 1 )).
The rank of glorification of the ascetic took place during a visit to Kharkov on July 3-4, 1993, by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Vladimir [5] , in the Cathedral of the Annunciation Cathedral of the city [6] .
