Katie Quinn Lowes ( born Katie Quinn Lowes ; September 22, 1981 ) is an American actress, theater director and film producer. Best known for her role as Quinn Perkins in the Shonda Rimes television series Scandal (2012–2018).

Life and career
Laws was born in Queens, New York and made her television debut in 2004. [1] In the 2008-2009 season, she had a regular role in the short-lived TV series Easy Money, and appeared on the big screen in the films Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Super 8 [1] . Laws has also appeared on a variety of television shows, such as Naval Police: Special Division , Ghost Talk , Castle , The Bloodhound , and Anatomy of Passion and Private Practice , produced by Shonda Rimes . Laws graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree [1] .
Laws is best known for her role as Quinn Perkins / Lindsay Dwyer in the television series Shonda Rimes " Scandal ", where she starred in 2012 [2] [3] . Prior to this role, Laws worked as a nanny with Connie Britton and changed the diapers of her adopted child [4] [5] .
Since June 23, 2012, Katie has been married to actor Adam Shapiro. The couple has a son - Elby Quinn Shapiro (born 02.10.2017) [6] . Prior to the birth of her son in October 2017, Laws suffered a miscarriage at the 3rd month of pregnancy [7] .
