Content

History

The Krekshino station of the Kiev direction was opened in 1899 and was named after the nearby Krekshino village. At the station, a settlement was formed, which received the same name [2] .

Victory Park is located near the station within walking distance. In 2001, the Monument to the Liberator Soldier was opened in the park. On December 9, 2001, in the days of the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow, a rally was held to mark the opening of the monument. The monument was erected in the area of ​​the burial place in the mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died in the battles for Moscow. Every year veterans, their relatives and relatives, residents of the nearest settlements gather in the park for the celebration of Victory Day.
