Game career
Career start
At age 16, he began playing in the British Columbia Provincial League. Having scored 72 points in the 2005-06 season in 57 games for the Burnaby Express team, Bruce Ellison Memorial Trophy was awarded as the best young player of the year. The next season, Kyle finished second in the list of scorers, gaining 121 points and was named the most valuable player. Having added 26 points in 14 matches in the playoff games, Terris led his team to victory at the Royal Bank Cap , having issued a hat-trick in the final.
With the title of Best Canadian Junior of the Year in 2007, Kyle was quoted as a potential first NHL Draft number. In the end, he lost to Patrick Kane and James van Rimsdike and was drafted by the third Phoenix Coyotes club.
Phoenix Coyotes
After spending another season in the lower leagues, Terris signed a rookie contract with Phoenix on March 31, 2008, and took part in the club’s last three games that season. The debut took place on April 3 in the game against the Dallas Stars , and in the third game against the Anaheim Ducks , Kyle writes to his account the first point in the NHL, giving an effective pass.

Contract Negotiations
