The Yanegsky rural settlement is a municipality within the Lodeinopolsky district of the Leningrad region . The administrative center is the village of Yanega .

Content
Geographical information
Located in the north-eastern part of the district, in the north it borders with the Republic of Karelia , in the east - with the Podporozhye district .
Through the territory of the settlement pass the railway St. Petersburg - Murmansk (railway station Yanega ) and the highway P37 Lodeynoye Pole - Vytegra .
The distance from the administrative center of the settlement to the district center is 10 km [1] .
History
According to data for 1973, the Pervomaisky Village Council center was moved from the village of Tenenichi to the village of Yanega [2] .
On January 18, 1994, the Pervomaisky Village Council was renamed and transformed into Yaneg volost [3] by a decree of the head of the administration of the Leningrad region No. 10 “On changes in the administrative-territorial structure of the districts of the Leningrad region”.
On January 1, 2006, in accordance with the regional law No. 63-oz dated September 20, 2004 “On the Establishment of Borders and the Granting of the Status of a Municipal Formation of the Lodeinopolsky Municipal District and Municipal Formations in its structure”, the Yanegsky rural settlement was formed , its territory included the territories of the former Andreevschinskaya , Janegskaya and parts of the Imochensky volosts [4] .
