Gang Creation

The gang was created in 2003 by Oleg Shchekin, previously not convicted former driver of a real estate company. In 1998, he met amateur artist Sergei Mayorov. Even before the creation of the gang by Shchekin, the Mayors committed two murders. In January 1999, he committed a robbery on the Morozov family, during which he inflicted bodily harm to Alexander Morozov and stole property, including a gun and ammunition. In April 1999, Mayorov, in the course of a robbery, killed Elena Proskurina in her own apartment and stole her jewelry. At the end of 2000, Mayorov killed and robbed another man in the entrance of his house.

Shchekin suggested that Mayorov deal with fraud with apartments, while the artist had to work with documents - fake someone else's handwriting, masterfully erase unnecessary prints and fake signatures. His friend Konstantin Chasovshchikov also entered the Shchekin’s gang. Subsequently, Shchekin attracted three more people to the group - Yuri Bondarenko, Alexey Frizin and Vasily Belov. Shchekin was the leader and think tank of the gang, and Mayorov was the main performer of the killings.

Gang Activities

Shchekin organized a real estate company, which was a cover for the activities of the gang. The victims of the "black realtors" were single or visiting people who did not have relatives in the Novosibirsk region. The first victim of the gang was drug addict Victor Venzhin. His house was in a good area of Novosibirsk, the apartment was in good condition. The bandits found the buyer quickly and with the help of a fake of documents they sold the apartment without the participation of its owner. After that, the Watchmakers killed Venzhin, disguising his death as a drug overdose.

After some time, the bandits came to the alcoholic Sergey Damayev. Every day they came to him, brought vodka and food. When they managed to get documents for the apartment and Damaev’s passport, the bandits three attacked the landlord and injected him several times, after which Mayorov strangled the victim. The bandits sold Damayev’s apartment and divided the money. Nobody paid attention to the unexpected death of the owner of expensive housing, fake documents passed all the approvals, the deal was registered. Subsequently, Shchekin said that he had connections with some employees of certain structures.

The next victims of the bandits were Lyubov Sergienko and her son Eugene. First, the bandits killed Eugene and here in the apartment his body was dismembered. Then the bandits tracked down Lyubov Sergienko on the street and pushed her into the car. Shchekin demanded that the woman sign all the necessary documents, after which the "black realtors" took Sergienko to the forest, killed her and hid the remains of their victims.

Later in the field of view of criminals came the two-room apartment of Vladimir Kazakov. He was not opposed to selling his home, but two of his friends, who objected to this deal, became a serious obstacle for the bandits. On the orders of Shchekin, Mayorov invited Kazakov’s friends to go fishing, where he killed both people from the guns given to him by Shchekin. Majors, Shchekin and Watchmakers hid the bodies of those killed in the forest.

But then it turned out that Vladimir Kazakov had already sold his apartment to other “black realtors” and moved to live in the village. It saved his life.

The next goal for the gang was the two-room apartment of a resident of Novosibirsk Valery Kulakov. "Black Realtors" quickly made friends with a lone owner. For several weeks they came to him, brought food and drink. After Kulakov, at the suggestion of his new acquaintances, signed documents for the sale of the apartment, the bandits tied him up and strangled him.

In addition to murders and frauds with apartments, bandits carried out robberies. Two of them ended in the death of the victims. So, once Shchekin and Mayorov convinced their acquaintance Vitaly Vilisov to take a loan to buy a Toyota Ipsum car. Two months later, they forced Vilisov to sell his car for 200,000 rubles. After that, both bandits took Vilisov to the forest, where Mayorov killed him. Shchekin and Mayorov hid Wilisov’s body and appropriated his money.

In the summer of 2005, bandits killed the invalid Andrei Malinovsky and stole his bank card, to which the pension was transferred. For the next two years, they received money from the murdered card.

In 2007, "black realtors" by deception took possession of the apartment of Nikolai Ikonnikov. This time they sold the living space and did not kill the victim.

In the late 2000s, Mayorov was arrested and later convicted of killing a woman. Left without a murderer, Shchekin switched from real estate to bank loans. He made false certificates for the unemployed and helped them fraudulently receive large amounts from banks.

Investigation, trial and sentence

They succeeded in reaching the trail of the gang by chance. While in custody, Mayorov once told other prisoners that in fact he had committed more than one murder. Police officers became aware of this, and Mayorov was questioned. He began to confess to the killings. The employees of the criminal investigation department identified Mayorov’s circle of acquaintances, and the realtor Oleg Shchekin was suspected. After collecting evidence of the guilt of the gang members, police detained them. Shchekin and Watchmakers confessed to the crimes, the rest of the bandits denied their guilt.

Oleg Shchekin and Sergey Mayorov in 2010 concluded a pre-trial cooperation agreement with law enforcement agencies and testified about the participation of other persons in the crimes they committed.

Mayorov was convicted by the Novosibirsk Regional Court for robberies, embezzlement of ammunition and weapons, fraud with the apartments of victims, ten murders from selfish motives from 1999 to 2007. Shchekina court found guilty of murder, robbery, banditry, intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm. The organizer of the gang of “black realtors” Oleg Shchekin was sentenced to 17 years in a maximum security penal colony, and his main accomplice and primary murder performer, Sergei Mayorov, was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum security penal colony. They received such a relatively lenient sentence because they entered into a pre-trial agreement with the investigation. Watchmakers, Frizin, Belov and Bondarenko were found guilty under several articles of the Criminal Code, in particular under the articles “robbery”, “banditry” and “murder” and also received long prison sentences.
