Transportation
There is a small Purnia airport that receives flights from Patna and Calcutta twice a week. The nearest airport with regular service is 150 km from Purnia, in the city of Bagdogra, Darjeeling district . There is a rail service. National roads No. 31, No. 57 and No. 107 pass through the city. Urban transport is represented by buses, motorcycles and rickshaws.
