Geography
The absolute height is 50 meters above sea level [1] . Located 75 km from the state administrative center, the city of Patna and 13 km from the ruins of the ancient monastery complex of Nalanda .

Economics and Transport
The economy of the city is based on agriculture. Tourism also plays an important role. The main tourist sites in the vicinity of Biharsharif are the ruins of the Nalanda complex, the ancient city of Rajgir and the holy place of Japans Pavapuri.
There are good rail and bus services to the cities of India. The nearest airport for regular flights is Patna.
