Apparently, the ancestor of Fimbria was the consul of 104 BC. e. Guy Flavius Fimbria . Thus, his family rooted back in the days of the Republic . Probably, the origin of Fimbria played a role in his appointment as consul-suffect in the year 71 under the reign of Emperor Vespasian . His colleague was Guy Atilius Barbara . An inscription from Naples and a recently opened military diploma show that they took office on July 20 or 30. Nothing more is known about him.
