Ask is a village in northern France , located on the Marc River, seven kilometers from the border with Belgium . Before the industrial revolution , agricultural activity prevailed in the countryside. Today it is a residential area, part of the city of Villeneuve d'Asc .

Ask is notorious for the Ask bloodshed that occurred on April 1, 1944, as a result of which 86 innocent people were executed. The village was awarded the Military Cross of 1939-1945 and the Order of the Legion of Honor .
Asuk has a St. Peter's Church, a train station and a memorial museum. There is also a brewery, a chocolate factory and a football team.
