Feature
The third album, Electric Silence was the last and certainly the best in the short history of the group Dzyan . On it, the musicians supplemented with cosmic - Kraut-rock improvisational style with significant influence of ethnic music , special effects and avant-garde experimentation. The sound was enriched by new exotic instruments, such as sitar , saz and tanpura , synthesizers and mellotron , as well as the superstring instrument invented by the musicians themselves, creating a rich springy noise. Dzyan immerses the listener in magnificent instrumental chaos, covering a huge variety of genres, including jazz-rock , space-rock , avant-garde rock and ethnic raga-rock , and psychedelic, mystical and otherworldly overtones give the sound incredible beauty and strangeness.
Recognition
The album ranks 11th in the ranking of the best Kraut-Rock albums of the Progarchives portal (April 2013) [1] .
