Tomasz Kazimir Sapieha ( Polish: Tomasz Kazimierz Sapieha , 1621 - March 30, 1654 ) - military and statesman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the famous Great Lithuanian ( 1649 - 1654 ).

Biography
The representative of the kodensky line of the noble Lithuanian magnate clan Sapeg emblem " Fox ". The second son of the subcommittee of Vladimir Frederick Sapieha (d. 1626 ) and Eva Skazhevskaya (d. Until 1642 ). The brothers are the full crown clerk Jan Frederik , Bishop of Vilnius Alexander Casimir and the great Lithuanian Kravchik Krzysztof Frantisek Sapieha .
He studied at the Jesuit College in Lublin , in 1635 he entered the University of Krakow , after which, together with his older brother Jan Frederick, he went to Italy, where he continued his education at the universities of Bologna and Padua . Also traveled to Germany, France and England.
In 1648, Tomasz Casimir Sapega became the captain of the hussar banner. In the same year, he participated in the Polish embassy under the leadership of Adam Kisel to the Ukrainian hetman Bogdan Khmelnitsky . In September 1648, participated in the battle with the Cossacks near Pilyavtsy . In the next 1649, Tomas Casimir Sapieha took part in the defense of Zbarazh and was appointed great Lithuanian convoy.
In 1650, Jan Frederic Sapieha received under his command a Cossack banner, at the head of which he participated in the battle of Berestechko in 1651 , where he was twice wounded.
March 30, 1654 he died in a military camp under the White Stone .
Family
In 1647, Tomas Kazimir Sapega married Sophia Dorogostayskaya ( 1635–1653 ), daughter of the cup of the great Lithuanian Vladislav Dorogostaysky (1614–1638) and Elzbieta Podberezsky. Thanks to the marriage, he acquired the inheritance of an extinct family of Dorogostai (Dorogostai, Kamennaya Oshmyanka and other estates). I had no children.
