Description
The Order was established by the Presidium of the People's Assembly of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia on December 29, 1951, together with a medal. The order was awarded to senior and senior officers who, by their example and perseverance in their work, developed military affairs to achieve the tasks assigned to military units, or created the conditions for achieving victories and grandiose successes, as well as civilian personnel of military units and military organizations, which, thanks to their personal By example, they contributed to the development of military affairs or helped to achieve the fulfillment of important tasks.
The law of March 1, 1961 established three degrees of the order: I degree with a large star (2609 awarded), II degree with golden swords (24141 awarded) and III degree with silver swords (94684 awarded). A total of 87,699 people have been awarded the medal.
