Biography
The representative of the noble Lithuanian princely family of the Czartoryska coat of arms " Chase ". Gediminovich in the eighth knee. The only son of Prince Alexander Fedorovich Chartoryi ( 1517 - 1571 ), governor of Volyn ( 1566 - 1571 ), and Magdalena (Yovanovny) Brankovich (Despotovny) (died 1575).
In 1571, after the death of his father, Mikhail inherited his possession in Volyn. In 1574 he received the position of head of Zhytomyr .
Voivode Volyn Prince Bogush Fedorovich Koretsky transferred his youngest son Joachim under the tutelage of Prince Mikhail Chartoryi. In March 1573, Mikhail Chartorysky was elected ambassador from the Volynsk voivodship to the electoral diet.
He was on friendly terms with the noble Moscow defector Andrei Mikhailovich Kurbsky , the elder of Krevo and the Kovel monarch .
The spiritual testament of Prince Mikhail Alexandrovich Czartoryski of February 22, 1582 is mentioned in the documents revealed in the Vladimir city books by Prince Yury Mikhailovich Czartoryski of January 1, 1605 [2] .
Family
After 1568, he married Sophia Yuryevna Khodkevich (died after 1602), the daughter of Kastelly Troky Yuri (Ezhi) Alexandrovich Khodkevich (died 1569 ) and Yevgenia Ivanovna Gornostay (died 1557 ). Children:
- Mikhail Mikhailovich Chartoryi (d. Approx. 1600)
- Jerzy (Yuri) Mikhailovich Czartoryski (died 1606), the last prince from the senior line of the Czartoryski clan
- Sofya Mikhailovna Chartoryi (died before 1605), the wife of Volhynsk Volhynskogo Vatslav Bogovitina Shumbarsky
After the death of her husband, Sophia Yuryevna remarried to the Kamenetz kastelyan of Raphael Senyavsky (died 1592)
