Georges Geret (whose real name is Antoine Geret) was born on October 18, 1924 in Lyon , France . Left without a father, he was raised by his mother. From childhood he played in an amateur theater. At the age of 28, he moved to Paris . In 1959 he joined the cast of the National Folk Theater under the direction of director Jean Vilar .

Since 1954, he began acting in films at the age of 30. In 1964, starred in the film directed by Luis Bunuel "The Maid's Diary" . In 1967, starred in the film directed by Lukino Visconti "Outsider . " He starred in films of such directors as Rene Clement , Claude Lelouch , Eduard Molinaro , Christian-Jacques , Bernard Borderi , Terence Young , A. A. Alov and V. N. Naumov , and many others.
