Of the nobles. He was educated at the Noble hostel at St. Petersburg University.
Biography
He joined the Department of State Treasury in 1832. In 1833–1836 he was in the Asian department, then he was appointed to the statistical office of the Council of the Ministry of the Interior. In 1851 he was appointed official of special assignments under the Minister of Public Education. In 1851 he began serving in the General Directorate of Censorship ; from January 25, 1853 he was appointed official in it for special assignments. From February 1, 1860 to February 28, 1864 was the censor of the St. Petersburg Censorship Committee .
His writings: “Not good for good, but good for good”, a comedy in the 1st act ( St. Petersburg , 1861); "Stories for children" ( St. Petersburg , 1865); "Experience of the program of drawing lessons" ( St. Petersburg , 1868); "Drawing lessons for young children" ( St. Petersburg , 1872); "Educational course of visual geometry" ( St. Petersburg , 1873).
