Biography
From 1951 until the end of his life, he served as professor of pediatrics and medical psychology at the Johns Hopkins University . Mani borrowed from the English grammar and introduced the term “ gender ” [7] ( gender role , gender identity , etc.) into use in the behavioral sciences [8] . He developed the concept of “ love card "( Eng. Lovemap ), denoting the sexual preferences of the individual, formed at the age of 5-8 years [9] . He put forward the theory of gender neutrality of children at birth [10] . One of Mani's patients, whose case was intended to confirm this theory, was David Reimer , the development of which the doctor observed for many years. However, Reimer’s change of gender to a genetically determined one rather disproves it.
