Geography
The city is located in the north-eastern part of Haryana, west of the Western Yamuna Canal, directly north of the city of Yamunanagar . The absolute height is 262 meters above sea level [1] . Jagadhari is located approximately 77 kilometers southeast of Chandigarh , the state’s administrative center, and 145 kilometers north of New Delhi , the country's capital.
Demographics
According to the official census of 2011, the population of the city was 124,915 people, of which 54.2% were men, 45.8% were women. The literacy rate of the population was 76.4%. The literacy rate among men was 79.2%, among women - 73.1%. 10.9% of the population were children under 6 years of age [2] .
