It is located about 12 km north-north-east (NNE) from the village of Chunja , the administrative center of the district. The KATO code is 196639200 [2] .

In 1999, the village population was 1036 people (522 men and 514 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 1,193 people (593 men and 600 women) lived in the village [3] .
